The metal cutting blade on the chop saw is just fine (actually the best blade) for graphite. Been using them for 25 years. Do tape the cut point with 3-4 layers of masking tape before cutting. A metal cutting blade is about 1/8th inch thick so be sure to compensate for when cutting.
